In Japan, an owl is a symbol of wisdom and fortune, and Lucky Owls are a often given as gifts to protect against hardship.
Finished sizes: Olive is approximately 4 ¾ inches tall, and Hamish is approximately 2 ½ inches tall.

Sarashi muslin base fabric
Fabric pieces for boro on front of owls
Fabric for backing
Green fabric for base, yellow fabric for beak and 3 fabrics for eyes
Sashiko threads

Requirements:
Washout marking tool or hera marker
Pins and tacking thread
Vliesofix or another double sided fusible web
Fabric craft glue (Helmars 450 clear adhesive is excellent)
Toy fill pellets or lentils, dental floss
